Staff:
· Fa-la-la-la-la! It’s still not too late to join us in practicing for our staff songs for the elementary holiday sing. We will meet for short practices on Tuesday and Thursday at 2:45. See you there!
· Elementary Staff: Please turn in your yearbook camera to Mr. Calendo by Fri. Dec 20th. Thank you!
· Ms. Petersen & Ms. Russell’s 5th grade class will be on a field trip to the Challenger Learning Center on Tuesday Dec. 17th from 8:30am –1:45pm.
Elementary School:
· Capture your favorite memories of your teacher, classmates and friends by purchasing an elementary yearbook. Orders can be made online or with a check made out to Inter-State Studios for $17 by Friday

· Westfield's Got Talent Audition dates for the February Fun Fair will be announced when students return from the Holiday Break. We are pleased to announce that in addition to our middle school students, we are inviting our 5th graders to bring their talent to the competition this year as well!
Middle School:
· Are you interested in earning some money after the holidays? Do you have a lot of extra stuff in your room that you just aren’t using? Spend some time over winter break cleaning out the stuff you don’t use and consider selling it! The Relay for Life- TEAM WESTFIELD is having a rummage sale on Saturday January
25th! You pay the special student rate of $10.00 for a table space, and all the money you earn from selling your items goes back to your pocket. See the Middle School Office for an application or with any questions.
· Attention 7th grade girls trying out for basketball: you need to get your physical and packet turned in by the first tryout. Try outs are next week Monday, Tuesday & Friday from 7:15 – 8:30am. You need to attend all tryouts. See Coach Kopetsky or the main office for all needed paperwork for tryouts.
· Do you like ice cream even when it’s cold outside? On Tuesday, December 17th Oberweis will be donating a portion of their sales to the WCS music department. Go out and eat ice cream on Tuesday and support music!
· Order your middle school yearbook now. Order your Middle School yearbook online. Use flyer code: 446323 or complete an order form and return it to school to pay by check. The full color yearbook is only $23 if ordered by Thursday, February 28, 2014. Visit https://www.inter-state.com/store/preorder and order today.

· Elementary: The Box top snowman race is going awesome –keep up the great work! Check the board to see how your class is doing. Every class still has a chance. Go to Meijer’s and get the 60 Box Top receipt (when you purchase box tops products) and watch your snowman move! The winning class for December wins a Pump It Up party for their whole class. Last collection for December and 2013 is Friday Dec. 20th!
· Middle School: Last collection for Box tops is 2013 is next Friday Dec 20th. Every grade that brings in 2,000 or more box tops will have a winning student from each grade, but all homeroom teachers will get a prize from Chipotle. Also, go to Meijer’s and get the 60 Bonus Box Tops.
D300:
· D300 Piano Festival is scheduled for March 18th. Register online at www.d300.org after Jan 7th. Fee is $5.
Parents:
· The Westfield Community School Rummage Sale and Craft Fair is coming! Mark your calendar for Saturday, January 25. If you are interested in buying a space to sell your stuff at the Rummage Sale, please see the Westfield website or contact us at 847-532-7600.

2014 from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Please call the elementary office
847-532-7800 if you have an incoming kindergartener, who will be 5 as of
September 1, 2014 and Preschoolers must be 3 years of age to being preschool at
