Staff:
· The 6th, 7th, and 8th grade AVID classes will be out of the building on Wednesday, January 29 for a field trip. The students will be gone all day. If you have any questions, please contact an AVID teacher.
Elementary School:
· H.A.N.D.S. Club will be meeting after school today in room 214 from 2:30 – 3:30pm
· Interstate-Studios will be here on Monday, Jan. 27th to take elem. club and group photos, classroom candids, as well as pictures of support staff and administration.
· Students in 3rd, 4th& 5th grade that take piano lessons: If you are interested in participating in the piano festival in MARCH, you must register on the D300 website by January 31st.
Middle School:
· This is a reminder to all eighth grade participants in the 8th grade bee today….After attendance in your 6th hour class, please come to Mrs. Curry’s room #249 for the eighth grade bee at 12:40pm
· Order your middle school yearbook now. Order your Middle School yearbook online. Use flyer code: 446323 or complete an order form and return it to school to pay by check. The full color yearbook is only $23 if ordered by Thursday, February 28, 2014. Visit https://www.inter-state.com/store/preorder and order today.
PTO Activities:
· Don’t forget to Box Top turn in is every Thursday!! See virtual backpack for ways to earn extra points.
· Pump it Up Family Fun Night has been postponed til February 19th. Sorry for any inconvenience.
· Chili’s Give Back Program is going on thru March 31st. You can find the flyer in virtual back pack 1/14 and turn it in to the server.
D300:
· Is your child (grades 3 and up) is taking piano lessons? If so, you may be interested in the D300 Piano Festival on March 18th. For more information, click on the piano festival link on the D300 website.
Participants must register by January 31st. The fee is $5.
Parents:
· Kindergarten & Preschool Registration will be held on Thursday, February 20th, 2014 from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Please call the elementary office 847-532-7800 if you have an incoming kindergartener, who will be 5 as of September 1, 2014 and Preschoolers must be 3 years of age to being preschool at Westfield.
